Power of Attorney

We all value our independence and the ability to make our own decisions, and don’t like to think that The State will be able to make these decisions when we are not able.

Having a Power of Attorney already in place allows you to decide who is going to look after your affairs, including your health and financial matters if you’re not able.

None of us know what’s around the corner, and whilst you (or a relative) may be perfectly capable just now, sometimes we all leave things a little too late, and then it may be difficult to have a Power of Attorney granted, and then the only other option is a Guardianship Order which is both costly, stressful to arrange, and cumbersome in operation.

Have you:

  • Ever had the frustration of trying to deal with someone else’s financial affairs ?
  • Come across the dreaded “Data Protection” scenario, when you can’t get even the most basic information for a relative – including your spouse or partner?
  • Needed to help someone make a decision about their medical treatment o r care.

A Power of Attorney keeps the choices with you and your family and costs a fraction of a Guardianship Order and can be arranged and put in place within a few weeks.
